Terms of Service
Last updated October 25, 2026
These terms cover your use of Intelligent Electron (intelligentelectron.com). By using it, you agree to them.
Access
Intelligent Electron is invite-only. Your account is for you; keep your sign-in secure. We may end or suspend access, for example if the service is misused.
Your content
Your designs, files, and conversations remain yours. You give us permission to store and process them only to provide the service to you and the members of your projects. Our Privacy Policy explains how.
Sharing and publishing
You decide who sees your designs. Project members can add and remove people; a design can also be shared on its own. Anyone you share with can see and edit what you shared.
To make a design public you choose a license for it. Publishing grants everyone the rights that license gives, and you confirm you have the right to grant them: the design is yours, or its own license lets you publish it. Anyone can view and download a public design; people with an account can fork it when its license allows. A fork keeps a NOTICE file naming the original, and a fork of a share-alike design keeps that license if published. Making a design private again stops new views; it cannot recall copies already made.
Designs from GitHub are linked and credited to their authors; a link never means the author endorses Intelligent Electron. If you believe a public design infringes your rights, email legal@intelligentelectron.com with the design's address and what it infringes, and we will review it and take it down when it does.
The AI agent
The agent's reviews, answers, and files are generated by AI and can be wrong. Check them before you rely on them, and always before you release a design for manufacturing.
Integrations
When you connect an integration such as Google Drive or GitHub, the agent acts with the access you grant, only for your requests, and asks you before anything that reaches outside the platform, such as a push to GitHub. You can disconnect it at any time in Settings > Integrations. Each integration's own terms also apply to your account there.
Plans and limits
Your plan limits how much the agent can do in each five-hour window and each week. When you reach a limit, the agent waits until it resets unless you have credits.
Acceptable use
Do not use the service to break the law, to infringe others' rights, to publish designs you have no right to publish, to scrape public designs in bulk, or to attack, overload, or reverse-engineer the platform.
Open-source software
The KiCad editor is open-source software under its own licenses, listed with its source on our open-source licenses page. These terms do not limit the rights those licenses give you over it, including the right to study, change, and share it.
No warranty
The service is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, Intelligent Electron is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from its use.
Changes
This is a first version, pending review by a lawyer. We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. Questions go to legal@intelligentelectron.com.
